The Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières takes the lead in recycling glass in the region! In collaboration with our Abrasives & Minerals sector, UQTR now provides the university community and the regional population with an external container to collect the glass. This drop point for the deposit of glass is a first in the region.
This initiative is the second phase of a project that was launched to recycle the large quantity of bottles contaminated by chemicals that had to be thrown away. In order to integrate the principles of sustainable development into all university activities and to reduce waste, the university has set up this partnership with our company.
For the last 6 months, laboratory glass bottles have been decontaminated and completely recycled.
