Each year, thousands of tons of materials are sent to our facilities and
almost 75% are put back on the market as environmentally-friendly alternative products.

Brick, asphalt and concrete that has been removed from construction sites is sorted, crushed, and put back on the market as environmentally-friendly alternatives to natural aggregates. These BNQ-standard (Quebec Standards Bureau) recycled aggregates, correspond to quarried stone and are prepared in 3/4 in. or 2 ½ in. formats. Cardboards, plastics and metals are sorted and sent to processors who will put them back on the market as new products. Metals

After being sorted and crushed, 95% of the paper is separated from the gypsum by sieving. Drywall paper can be re-used as pet bedding or it can be buried. Rich in calcium, granular gypsum sieved at 0 to 1.5 mm is ideal as a soil amendment (soil improvement). Drywall

Colour-sorted glass is an excellent material for manufacturing new glass and can generate energy savings of up to 30%. Mixed glass is treated for use as synthetic sand, without crystalline silica thus without any risk of silicosis or respiratory infection. Applications: Sandblasting, filtration, cement additive, filling agent (coating), mineral or fiberglass wool insulation, anti-slip additive to floor paint, decorative aggregate (mulch), plastics and adhesives. After sorting, wood is chipped and, depending on quality, can be used to manufacture particle board, suspended ceiling tile, insulated composite panels, furniture, structures or framing, wood pellets, pet bedding or used for biomass cogeneration. Wood

Asphalt shingle is crushed and the grained bitumen is separated from the fiber. Crushed grain can be used as an additive in asphalt. Bitumen fiber, on the other hand, has the heating value of coal and can be used in energy recovery (cement plants). Shingles
