As agreed with the "Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs" (MELCCFP) four years ago, Sable des Forges has begun the work to close its facilitie landfill at 11450 Industrial Boulevard in Trois-Rivières. The site closure is expected to be completed in a few weeks. At the end of the work, the site will be completely covered with an insulating layer of clay, which will make it waterproof.
Strict monitoring of the waste disposal site will be carried out in the coming years to ensure compliance with the regulations issued by the MELCCFP. However, we would like to point out that the recovery and valorization of residual materials, through our sorting center and our rental containers, will continue at 11450 Industrial Blvd in Trois-Rivières.
